Facebook has become it’s own identity lately. It’s as big as the 3rd largest country in the world according to it’s population. Over 50% of facebook users check facebook first thing when they wake up… (my hubby would fall into that category!) Facebook’s growing everyday and this is where your prospects are…you need to have a voice over there as well!
Gheeze…did you see that you now can have an email through facebook? It’s your username@facebook.com It’s now wonder Google is threatened by them…they’re working on a search engine too…so interesting! I love seeing someone challenge the all and powerful Google!
So, how can you reap the benefits of this huge and growing platform and not sound like your pitching your business and products?? Well it takes class for one, but also the ability to step back and see what it is that you’re doing from the other person’s point of view.
Facebook Tip #1
NEVER “pitch” your business opportunity on FB! Seems like common sense, but you’d be surprised at the things people are posting over there. (Actually you may not be surprised because you’ve seen them too!) If you can’t pitch your business opportunity, then how can you actually get the word out that you are in a business, and you are looking for people to join your team?
Well online, and especially on facebook, it all comes down to attraction marketing. If you haven’t read the book Magnetic Sponsoring, then this is step#1 for you. STOP anything you’re doing right now and head over to Magnetic Sponsoring right now and get that book! Whew… seriously it’s that important. Once you start practicing attraction marketing on facebook and giving value out to your friends, they’ll start to notice the value in your posts and they will start interacting and asking you questions…it’s awesome actually!
Facebook Tip #2
Interaction with your friends is crucial. They’re not just numbers. You need to build connections with them and actually give them a reason to read your posts! Remember people must feel that they already know you before they will ever join or buy from you. So being social is really important. With that same concept, make sure you also…
- Have a lot of pictures of you, your family and your lifestyle
- Fill in completely your favorite movies, books, hobbies…the more details the better
- Have more comments than posts if possible! Interaction is key and proof that you’re a real person!
Facebook Tip #3
Create a fan page for yourself and use this as a way to build business fans who are interested in what you have to offer. Now that facebook allows you to post comments as your fan page persona, this is a great way to build fans and get your business name out there in facebook land!
